Welcome to Uncooked Truths

This blog wasn’t born from a trend or a business plan. It came from that in-between place. The place where you’ve lived enough to know better, but still feel like you’re figuring it out. After years of food blogging, navigating hormone chaos, dealing with a changing body, and trying to hold it all together, I realized I needed a space that allowed for all of it. The questions, the clarity, the mess. The parts of life that don’t fit in a recipe card or a wellness reel.

A Midlife Reckoning Without the Clichés

Uncooked Truths is where I come to write honestly. No filters. No slogans. No "just drink more water" advice.

You’ll find personal reflections on:

  • What happens to your body and brain after 50 that no one prepares you for
  • How food and appetite shift in midlife
  • My GLP-1 experience, without the hype
  • Recipes that feel nourishing for this season of life
  • The grief, the relief, the reinvention that comes with menopause
  • Real talk about aging in a world obsessed with staying young

I’m not a doctor or a guru. Just a woman who has lived through it and decided not to keep quiet anymore. If you’ve ever felt like your body betrayed you, like your energy vanished, like your old tricks stopped working and no one had answers, you're not imagining it. You're just in the thick of a life transition no one prepared us for.

This blog is for you if:

  • You’ve ever looked at your life and thought, “Why didn’t anyone warn me?”
  • You want honesty, not health trends
  • You’re searching for connection, stories, and maybe a little humor along the way
  • You’re figuring it out too, and just want to feel less alone while doing it

Midlife isn’t a crisis. It’s a reckoning. And once you stop trying to go back, you might find something worth building right here, right now.

Welcome to Uncooked Truths. I’m glad you’re here.
